College Football Week 4 Preview and Predictions

What an incredible start to the 2026 season. Hella storylines and whatever. You can look them up. Let us take a look at what we have in store for week 4 in terms of ranked matchups.

Starting on Friday, the Northwestern Wildcats are traveling to #5 ranked Indiana (-21) for a showdown in Bloomington at 8pm ET. Northwestern historically is one of the worst programs in the Big 10. Indiana is coming off their National Championship season. I do not expect this one to be close. Indiana 52-7

Saturday Games

Oh boy. The Saturday slate is freaking epic. The day begins with College Gameday in Knoxville, with #1 Texas (-4.5) coming to town for an 11am CT match up against the #14 Volunteers. I expect Arch Manning to ball out but Tennessee has always been sneaky. Interesting enough this is their first meeting since the 1968 Cotton Bowl, with the Longhorns taking that one 36-13. Hopefully the Indian student section does not travel with the team. Texas 24-19

We have a few kino afternoon clashes. Down in Gainesville, the #4 Ole Miss Rebels are taking on the #21 Gators (-3) at 3:30pm ET. The Rebels are coming off a massive win at home against my LSU Tigers. Trinidad Chambliss ran all over us; I felt sick watching. Anywho, I think this is a trap game for them. Looking at the record, the home team usually takes this one. Give me Florida 31-28.

At the same time, #17 Iowa travels to Ann Arbor to take on #18 Michigan. Tbh I do not really know much about these teams besides Michigan basically losing to Western Michigan in week 1. This is a very one sided "rivalry" with Michigan leading the series 45-15. I really want the Hawkeyes to pull the upset but I do not think i will happen; it will be close tho. Michigan 20-17

Saturday Night Games

For the evening games (all at 7:30pm ET) we have three ranked battles. Starting in Los Angeles we have #20 Oregon (-5.5) taking #12 USC in the Coliseum. The Ducks dropped their week two matchup but bounced back with an absolute bloodbath against poor Portland State. Side note, those types of games should not be scheduled. USC is 4-0 coming off 4 cupcake games with their last being a close W over Rutgers. Both quarterbacks are Heisman front runners at the moment. This is basically a tossup according to oddsmakers. Do not expect any defense. USC 41-38

Next is a matchup between #19 Missouri and #24 Mississippi State (-6.5) in Starkville. Since their joining the SEC in 2012, Missouri and State have split this series 2-2. Mississippi State 28-21

And last but not least, my #10 LSU Tigers (-8.5) are hosting #23 Texas A&M in Death Valley. Both teams are coming off losses, albeit they lost to unranked Kentucky. I expect both teams to be highly motivated. There has been insane games played between two teams. Who can forget the SEVEN overtime game in 2018. Last year was an absolute drubbing from A&M. However, we are a better team this year, all we need to do is stop Marcel Reed and we are good. Hopefully QB Sam Leavitt can take his head out of his ass and throw the ball better. TIGAS BY 90. jk. LSU 31-23

Below are some games worth keeping an eye on

Oklahoma at #2 Georgia (-14)

#3 Notre Dame (-27.5) at Purdue

#15 Utah (-8.5) at Iowa State

Wisconsin at #13 Penn State (-10)

Clemson at Cal (-1.5)

Oklahoma St at West Virginia (-1.5)
