Eagles and Pandas: Trump and Xi's friendship forms over State visits

Xi Jinping: "We're not doing Taiwan man, look at my military leadership dawg"

I honestly don't know what I was expecting, but the State visit of Xi Jinping to Washington, D.C., this week was a pleasant breath of fresh air, alongside the cooling autumn winds forming for the season. There were plenty of laughs, smiles, pleasantries, and greetings throughout the event, and it was the first time I didn't honestly feel disgusted listening to the Chinese language. Big props to Xi there. President Trump loves being a host; this is where he shines. From showing off the gilded White House and the beautification of D.C. to his jokes and conversations about Granite with the Chinese President, this state visit really showed off the nature of America. A southern hospitality spin with white marble and gold elegance. That's America baby.

There was one instance that may have gone over many heads, but one Chinese user on X noted that Xi Jinping was born in the year of the Snake, 1953, in the Chinese calendar; maybe coincidence or not, President Trump gifted a beautiful statue of a Bald Eagle gripping a tree branch with its talons that looks exactly like a snake. I would love to know who thought it was a good idea to offer this statue as a gift to the Chinese president. They deserve a medal. The Atlanta Zoo is going to be receiving two new pandas, a male, Ping Ping, and a female, Fu Shuang. Some have raised concerns about their health because of the growing ape population in Atlanta, but I'm sure the zoo can handle it for now. The panda exhibit is one of my favorites at the Atlanta Zoo; you should visit if you're in the area sometime!

There will be two more meetings with President Trump and the Chinese President in mid-November back in China and in December for the G20 summit. Since several top Chinese military leaders have been ousted on charges of corruption, I do wonder if the CIA and Pentagon's projection of the Taiwan invasion in 2027 hasn't been set back a bit. Only time will tell!
