Sam Altman must be living in pure hell man, it really does chill the bones to imagine what his internal life must be like amidst the chaos that is the LLM frontier. Apparently, the next model of ChatGPT, Astra 6.1, was exhibiting far too much skill in deception, seemingly toying with humans who requested things from it, going far beyond its requested tasks, and adopting a villain-like persona. Genuinely not looking great for humans over the next few years but fuck it we ride the tiger anyway.
