Prometheus represents radical human autonomy through the fire he stole back from Zeus, which embodies techno-science today. In Greek mythology, he is the light-bringer and creator of humanity. Prometheus is the spirit underlying Western civilization's destiny. Curiosity, visions of the future, and using science and technology for our own goals are just a few aspects that differentiated Western civilization from barbarism and tyranny imposed by the retarded.
