According to my own self-imposed tradition, winner predictions on Survivor must be locked in BEFORE the third episode of each season airs, and with the third episode of this season airing last Wednesday, I’ve made my submission. Before I tell you who it is, let’s go over my record. I started picking during season 32, stopped watching the show live at s36 Ghost Island, caught up and then resumed my live viewing at s41, having only skipped seasons 47, 48, and 49 (I’ve since caught up on those as well) from the new era seasons.

My picks:

S32: Michele Fitzgerald ✅

S35: Ali Elliott ❌

S41: Ricard Foyé ❌

S42: Tori Meehan ❌

S43: Jesse Lopez ❌

S44: Matthew Grinstead-Mayle ❌

S46: Kenzie Petty ✅

As you can see, despite having more misses than hits, my record is still pretty fucking great, and I threepeated with my first 3 seasons. Because I skipped seasons 47-49 when they aired, I’m now within reach of my second threepeat in a decade, and I’m feeling pretty good about this year’s selection: Linnea Capobianco.

While a few of my friends went for players with more explosive edits or a clearer archetype trajectory, I went with my gut this year and chose my first impression pick based on my perception of her general acumen and game skills. I’m sensing the ability to control people through relationships while also kind of surfing the wave of threat management, like a Kenzie Petty from 46, maybe with a little of the edge of a Savannah from s49.

Also she’s extremely hot and looks like a cross between Amanda from s15 and Chanel Camryn.
